Pink Ribbon Lingerie specialises in mastectomy lingerie, loungewear, sleepwear and swimwear in a wide range of colours and sizes for women post surgery.

 

VAT exemption

Some of our products are VAT exempt if you have/had Breast Cancer and are a UK resident. If you believe that your purchase should be exempt of VAT for all of our mastectomy goods, you must kick that you have read these terms and conditions to declare this at the checkout stage.

Did you know that have undergone a Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, or other qualifying surgery, or have such surgery planned, you are entitled to not pay VAT (Value Added Tax) on mastectomy products or post-mastectomy products purchased for your own use?

 

Why?

In layman’s terms if you require a product due to a medical illness or procedure then the government says that you do not have to pay tax on this.

 

What does this mean for you?

VAT exempt products include post-surgery/mastectomy bras, swimwear and clothing.

If you are in the United Kingdom you can claim relief from the value added tax (VAT) under group 12 of schedule 8 of the Value Added Tax Act (1994).  

This can be done in a number of ways. Completing a form online or in a store, or by making a declaration or part of the terms and conditions of purchase.

All of the post-surgery products on Pink Ribbon Lingerie do not have VAT included in the price published and you must a declaration or part of the terms and conditions of purchase on our website in order for you to receive the VAT exemption.

 

VAT is charged on all goods that are non-mastectomy goods, for example, sarongs, bra extenders  (as these have not been adapted for medical reasons). If you have not has breast cancer but would like to purchase from us please complete our contact form with your contact details so we can complete your transaction.

All orders for delivery outside the UK will be charged at 0% VAT (Value Added Tax).

You may be asked to provide medical evidence in the form of a letter from your doctor.
